The B10 4.0 engine has similar engine capacity as BMW\u00b4s original 4.0 litre V8 engine, however has been fitted with higher-compression Mahle pistons, modified intake system and reprogrammed Motronic system. The engine produces 315 bhp (from 286 bhp) and torque of 410 Nm (from 400 Nm).<\/p>\n

The gearbox is a six-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n

Suspension\/Brakes\/Wheels<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The B10 4.0 has Alpina-Bilstein suspension with gas-pressure dampers and progressive springs. The wheels are 17in high with 235 tires at the front and 265 tires at the rear.<\/p>\n

Interior\/Exterior<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

This B10 4.0 has the same interior changes as the predecessor B10 3.5\/1.
\nA key difference is the steering-wheel.<\/p>\n

From the outside, the B10 4.0 can be recognized by its new front spoiler and wide E34 V8 kidneys.<\/p>\n

Performance<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

For the B10 4.0 Switchtronic, Alpina claimed a 0-100 km\/h time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 265 km\/h.<\/p>\n
