In February 2006, at the Canadian Autoshow, BMW surprisingly announced the launch of the B7<\/a> in North America. After the Roadster V8<\/a><\/u>, this is the 2nd Alpina model officially imported to North America.<\/p>\n
Production started in November 2006. Unofficially BMWNA stated that around 1000 B7’s would be imported – production stopped at 800 units in January 2008.<\/p>\n
The North America version of the B7 differs from the original E65 B7 in a number of ways.<\/p>\n
Also, the NA-version of the B7 has a BMW chassis number and no Alpina chassis number – or associated production number.<\/p>\n

Interior\/Exterior<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
Inside the B7 is equipped with sport seats, new instruments with blue background and red needles, luxury wood \u201cMyrtle\u201d, a hand-stitched leather steering-wheel, Alpina floor mats, Alpina door sills and a silver-plated production plaque. The exterior changes are very subtle, front and rear spoiler lips are fitted, which make the car more stable at speed while maintaining a low CW-value.<\/p>\n
As the NA-version of the B7 was assembled at BMW, unique Alpina leather interiors were not possible – BMW Nasca leather is offered as standard.<\/p>\n
The exterior is identical to the ECE-spec B7<\/a>. Available colors are regular E65 750i color, as well as Alpina Blue II. As with other contemporary BMW models, no Individual colors were available except for the Canadian market.<\/p>\n
