\nThis exceptional Alpina B3S Convertible is based on the facelift late E46 convertible and fitted with Alpina\u2019s extensively reworked 3346cc M54 engine producing 305 bhp with 362nm of torque, with Alpina\u2019s own exhaust system. A 5 speed automatic gearbox (these late B3S were only supplied as automatics) was fitted with Alpina\u2019s own switchtronic wheel-mounted gearchange system which gave the driver the option of relaxed fully automatic driving or a more sporty manual gear change. Of course this was rounded off with Alpina\u2019s own bespoke suspension and Alpina Classic 18\u201d wheels.
\nThis particular Alpina B3S, number 174, is finished in the unique Alpina Metallic Blue with Alpina Black leather with contrasting exclusive Alpina wood trim and embroidered Alpina floor mats. The car has been extensively specified with nearly every conceivable option. The car has been maintained superbly and the last Inspection II was carried out by us. This lovely B3S drives superbly with smooth rich power delivery in all gears with a super, fulsome straight six voice. Steering is accurate and precise and the ride is the usual magical Alpina blend of suppleness and absorption, whilst still retaining superb body control.
\nWe have known the owner for many, many years and he is a serial performance BMW enthusiast having owned an E30 M3, E36 M3 and then this lovely Alpina.
\nIt\u2019s now time to find a suitable loving home for his very much cherished and well cared for Alpina B3S Convertible.
\nOur friend and customer spent a long time searching and researching this car prior to purchase. This B3S has now covered only 52,000 miles in the hand of four fastidious owners. The car features a 100% full and well documented service history from new.
\nEarlier this year and with only 51,000 miles we carried out an Inspection II service, annual check, tracking, new front wishbone bushes, wiper blades, n\/s diff oil seal, viscous fan coupling and air conditioning poly belt. The car has passed through our workshop for our thorough pre-sales checks and the following work will be carried out before handing her over to the new owner. Pre-delivery inspection, new MOT, new glove box catch, new battery tray clips, new rear tyres, new power steering hose clips, new n\/s headlamp washer jet, new exhaust rubbers, the front spoiler will be re-painted due to stone chips and the wheels will be refurbished.
