Although LHD I could not bring myself to part with the car when we subsequently moved to England in August 2004, and hence re-registered the car in the UK on a 52 plate. Switchtronic transmission and all usual extras – heated front seats, xenon headlamps with washers, GPS, telephone, 6CD changer, Harman-Kardon sound system etc. Full history with BMW. Quite honestly the best car I have ever owned, but if anyone has an equally pristine and low mileage B10 V8S (RHD please…!) I might be tempted. Maybe someone is trading one in for a new B5.”

received registration from owner Nick Bromfield (nick.bromfield@vfast.co.uk, KentB3 @ m5board) 4/2012:
“> I bought the car new in January 2003 from Jean-Michel Martin, the Alpina
> importer for Belgium, when I was living and working in Brussels. At the
> time I test drove the B3s but was tempted by a good deal on the B3 3.3
> which had been sitting in the showroom unsold for some time (presumably
> because of the new B3s model). When , unexpectedly, I returned to the UK
> in late 2004 for family reasons I could not bring myself to sell the car
> and imported it to the UK even though it is LHD.”
“Attached picture of the car being enjoyed at Goodwood last year”

mentioned by Nick Bromfield on fastsaloons.com 12/2016:
“Some of you will be familiar with the “will he, won’t he?” indecision about selling my cherished B3 3.3 – a LHD car originally supplied in Benelux and which I have owned and enjoyed since new over 87,000 faultless miles and 14 years. Well, as we speak she is headed back across the Channel to a new life in the Netherlands with her new owner.
Basically I plucked up my courage to take advantage of the weak pound and advertised the car in euros on a German website (mobile.de). It was easy as pie and I had masses of interest within hours of placing the ad. In fact I could have sold the car several times over – obviously in trying to strike a fair balance between the low value of a LHD car in the UK and the high advertised prices of equivalent cars on the Continent (and bearing in mind the hassle for a new owner of fetching the car from the UK and importing it to a new country) I pitched my price too low! Anyway, she’s gone to a private buyer/enthusiast which is good news, and we are both happy with our deal.”

LHD Registered as BMW Imported to UK 17/12/2004 Imported to Holland 8/6/2017 featured by owner Nick Bromfield (bromfields@btinternet.com) on fastsaloons.com 12/2006: “Purchased new by me in Brussels in January 2003 from stock at Jean-Michel Martin, the Belgian importer for Alpina.
