\nI WENT YESTERDAY TO A CITROEN DEALER TO BUY A PEOPLE CARRIER – OH YES MY LIFE IS OVER – THE DEALER SAID HE WILL BUY THE ALPINA FOR \u00a34900 AS PX SO IF ANYONE CAN GET OVER THIS I WILL SELL. The only thing that the dealer said he spotted which was not in my description was that occassionally the climate fan at low speed had a little squeek, it dissapears when turned up – he said it just required oiling and a bit of trim near the door needed re-gluing but other than that he was as smitten as I have always been about the car. At this price its cheaper than a 3.2 \/ does not have the timing issues of a 3.3s and less than the damaged b3 3.3s which I have seen with fek loads of miles – bag a genuine bargain!
\nThe vehicle had 61,000 miles when I collected it 2007 so not covered many miles at all in the 3.5 years I have cherished it. An independent Alpina specialist has painstakingly maintained and serviced the vehicle with only Alpina parts. I have a receipt for every tank of Shell V-Power petrol; it has never drunk cheap petrol; forgive the OCD I am a solicitor you see and Alpina owners club member.

\nI really want to sell to someone who will look after the vehicle; my 3 small children are forcing me into something boring with 4 doors and not a coupe. I truly love the car and don’t want to see it go. Perhaps I could sell the kids instead?

\nSince the car has been valeted the following has become apparant:-
\nThe front wheel arches show rust on the outside rim which require attention; I am reassured that this is very common on e46; there are loads of web sites \/ forums on this.
\nThere is a small scratch on the very lower corner of the front bumper which required touching up.
\nOh – I almost forgot, I don’t smoke, don’t have pets and no smoking pets have been in the car (or whatever crap people say about pets in ebay adverts)
\nOther than the above, taking into account the age of the car it is in my opinion in great condition, is a head-turner and does a wee on an m3.

\nWe (read The Mrs!!!) have reluctantly decided to sell our ALPINA B3 due relocation and requiring funds for renovation of our new house. It has been used as our second car for the last 14 months covering approx. 8,000 miles up \/ down the motorway from Manchester to Whitby and I can safely say this is the safest, fastest, best looking and most comfortable car we have ever owned. It has been 100% reliable during our ownership and has never once let us down. That said I\u2019ve treated it like a baby lavishing money on routine maintenance of any wear and tear item that sprung to mind (read on). Hence the car is in wonderful condition for a 12 year old car both mechanically and cosmetically, it always turns heads wherever it goes and will not disappoint its new owner. This Alpina B3 has a fully documented full service history and an impressive folder full of paperwork showing maintenance completed totalling \u00a31000\u2019s. There are 9 stamps in service book, last stamp at 78,000 miles on 10\/01\/11. An inspection 2 was also completed on the car at a friend\u2019s garage in October\/November 2011 with the result of a new interior heater blower motor, front drop links, power steering fluid leak fixed \/ fluid changed and auto gearbox oil change etc. These are all typical jobs for an e46 variant at this sort of mileage and cost me a fair few \u00a3\u00a3\u00a3\u2019s – All parts receipts etc are available to prove this work was done I just forgot to get the book stamped after completion of the work as we did the jobs over a couple of week period to spread the costs. I should also point out this car has the facelift front bumper with round fog light as opposed to the earlier front bumper with rectangular ones that resemble the e36 . The leather is VERY clean with no scuffs\/scratches (pretty much as new). Screen still has back-light so it may just want re-programming but could potentially need a new Sat-Nav computer (MK2 unit that sits in boot with CD changer) from ebay or alternative updated system – I\u2019ve not had it looked at yet as I never use it! Audio functions \/ CD changer are unaffected by this, however, if I was keeping the car I\u2019d put an after-market stereo in (kits available from \u00a370 upward) to bring things up to date and sell the old BMW stuff on here as they fetch good money. I’m asking \u00a36250 or best offer which looking around at similar cars is VERY reasonable considering the condition, history and mileage. This car is so clean I expect the first genuine person to view it to buy it. Cheaper road tax as pre-2001 tax rates apply. Still returning in excess of 25 MPG combined, over 30 MPG on motorway.
