\nTwo owners Build no. 169 This fine example looks outstanding in Imola red a very rare colour this B3s simply wanted for nothing owned by a keen Alpina enthusiast driving as a B3s should with its larger 300 bhp engine the driving experience is completly addictive.
\nFull option pack taken out with Alpina hand stiched Logo to all seats – steering button shift gear change option – hand stiched steering wheel – wide T V screen upgrade – Alpina switch tronic gear box – HPI clear – 18″ Alpina alloys with Mitchelin Pilot sports no curbing marks. I POD upgrade boot instalation.
\nDriving experience: This example feels tight on the road which is a refelction of its full service history. There are no bumps or rattles \/ shakes as she absorbs the road surface (common experience with many performance cars) In my opinion she is nicer to drive than an M3 slighty softer suspension and a gear box set up which allows a differant driving style. Engine feels responsive pulling through all gears smoothly. Sport option all functioning as designed. I have driven many M3s and its my view a good Alpina is a more pleasurable drive supported by the distinctive look and option pack available. You may feel the Alpina does not have the anything like the performance of an M3 again, my view is at 300bhp and a 0 – 62 mph 6.6 sec is certainly a strong performer.. Additionally the gear box coupled with the management system allows for differant speed changes changing sooner than the M3 which can hold onto gears for longer.
\nBody work: as the previous owner was an enthusiast he had any stone chips or road markings removed with the Alpina front valence repainted at a credited body shop. There are no scratches or damage to the body work.
\nInterior: Black leather with hand stiched Alpina emblems to all seats – no damage or tears. Door cards all unmarked.
\nConvertable: Hood fabric unmarked – full closure and opening systems actioning correctly.
\nWheels: Alpina 18 inch with Mithelin Pilot sports to all rims. There are no curbing marks to any of the wheels. Spare is a space saver (unused)
\nBoot: lining \/ carpeting and side trims all unmarked. – Ipod upgrade.
\nEngine: Alpina straight six cylinder 300 bhp – full service history supports the condition of BMWs best engine. The engine bay on this car is very clean indeed with anything the car wanted was replaced (main dealer parts only) – agian, supported by documents. There are no oil markings \/ leaks or grease evident no gasket issues pending.
